Description
Alexius I Comnenus (1081-1118). Æ Tetarteron (19,1mm, 2g). Thessalonica. Crowned bust facing, wearing chlamys, holding cross-tipped sceptre and cross on globe. R/ C-Φ-M-Δ in the four corners of jewelled cross with a globe at each end and X in the centre. Sear 1931.
