CELTIC LA TENE BRONZE PAIR OF BROOCHES

A pair of La Tène I type bow brooches, each with a deep bow, sprung head, and a pin to reverse. The La Tène culture is a predominantly Celtic culture belonging to the Iron Age, also known as Iron Age II. It developed between ca. 450 and 25 BC. Its name comes from the La Tène archaeological site discovered in 1857 at Marin-Epagnier, on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
