ROMAN TERRA SIGILLATA BOWL WITH WHEEL DECORATION
Ca. 300-400 AD.
A terra sigillata collar bowl with a shallow body rising from the flat base. The interior with graver wheel decoration. 'Terra sigillata' is a type of fine ware Roman pottery identifiable by its red glossy surface slip, which was made in specific areas of the Roman Empire, such as North Africa, Gaul, and Central Italy.
