LARGE CHINESE PORCELAIN DISH WITH DRAGON AND PHOENIX
The dish is moulded in the form of chrysanthemum and decorated in the centre with a dragon and phoenix, two of the most important symbols in Chinese culture. The dragon symbolizes strength and good fortune, while the phoenix is said to bring peace and love. Traditionally, the dishes have been used for offering food to ancestors and gods as well as for displaying during special occasions.
