SASANIAN DECORATED GLASS CUP
Ca. AD 500 - 700 A charming cup comprised of translucent, slightly yellow glass. It's graceful form with a delicate curved profile is decorated with a scale pattern on the external surface. The cup has a flat bottom and the rim is ground smooth. There are traces of pearlescent iridescence. Sasanian glassmakers used various techniques to create beautiful glass objects such as vessels, tableware, and jewellery.
