ROMANO-EGYPTIAN GREEN FAIENCE AMPHORISKOS
Ca. 30 BC - AD 200 A Romano-Egyptian green faience Amphoriskos with a pear-shaped body gracefully ascending from a discoid foot. The upper body is seamlessly connected to the narrow neck and the short, everted rim. Atop the shoulder and beneath the broad rim, a typical pair of ring handles can be found. Many faience amphorae of this nature feature either bar-shaped handles or no handles at all, leaving this as a rarer example.
