RARE SELJUK COPPER EWER WITH LION THUMB SUPPORT
Ca. 12th century AD A copper ewer of a wide globular body, resting on a low ring base. The neck is cylindrical with a collared band, an elongated neck with a flared rim. The spout protrudes from just below the shoulder and a strap handle with a recumbent lion connects the mid-body with a rim.
