EGYPTIAN BRONZE INLAID APPLIQUE OF URAEUS - MUSEUM EXHIBITED

Ca. 1069 - 332 BC A fine cast bronze uraeus pendant or latch. It has an undulated body, flared hood and a sun disc on top of it's head. The hood is inset with turquoise, red and yellow inlays.
Size: 74mm x 23mm; Weight: 49g
Provenance: Property of a London art gallery, acquired on the US art market; Ex. Dr. W. Benson Harer collection, LA. Purchased from a French provincial estate sale. 9/28/1994, Petit Musee, Paris. Ex. Ambassador Aroucho from Costa Rica to Egypt, under Nasser. Exhibited: San Bernardino County Museum and Cal. State, 1998 - 2021. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
