ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF JUPITER
Ca. AD 100 - 300 A Roman Jupiter statuette. The statuette stands dynamically in counterpoise and is shown nude. Jupiter is portrayed with an athletic figure and a divine visage comprised of a furrowed brow, a noble nose and petite lips. His face is framed with a bushy coiffure, short beard and a wreath of oak leaves. His left arm was raised, most likely having previously held a sceptre, while his right hand is lowered.
