COLLECTION OF 5 EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI
Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC A collection of five faience shabtis covered in layers yellow/pale brown glaze. The figures stand in mummiform with fused legs and feet, holding a black-painted pick and hoe. On the back of the figures there is a depiction of a black seed bag hanging from both rounded shoulders. A black-painted hieroglyphic inscription is enclosed with a thin box atop the front of the legs.
