ROMAN BRONZE OIL LAMP WITH DOVE

Ca. AD 100 - 300 A Roman cast bronze oil lamp, decorated with a leaf-shaped handle and a hinged lid in the form of a scallop shell. The lamp's body is rounded, with a flat base and an elongated spout with a wide, shallow mouth. On the small lid is a depiction of a bird.
