SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE Silver denarius or Zuz, 3.0 gr. Obverse: Paleo-Hebrew inscription in wreath: “Shim(on)". Reverse: Lyre with 3 strings. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "Y(ear) t(wo) to the Free(dom) of Israel". Very Fine. Mildenberg 13; Meshorer TJC 238; Hendin 1389. Ex Menashe Landman coll., Haifa (Ex Lefcowitz 1972).
