SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE Silver Sela, 13.7 gr. Undated. Obverse: Tetrastyle façade of the Temple of Jerusalem with ark of the Covenant. Star at top. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: “Shimon”. Reverse: Lulav with etrog. Irregular Paleo-Hebrew inscription: “To the freedom of Jerusalem”. +Very Fine. Mildenberg 89; Meshorer TJC 269b; Hendin 1414. Ex Menashe Landman coll., Haifa.
