SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE Silver denarius or Zuz, 3.24 gr. Obverse: Bunche of grapes. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: “Shimon". Reverse: Lyre. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "To the freedom of Jerusalem". Very Fine. Mildenberg 186; Meshorer TJC 274a; Hendin 1435. Ex Menashe Landman collection, Haifa (Ex Sasson 1972).
