Julia Soaemias, mother of Elagabalus (died 222 AD). AR Denarius. Struck under Elagabalus, 218-220. Obv. IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG. Draped bust right. Rev. VENVS CAELESTIS. Venus standing left, holding apple and sceptre; in left field, star. RIC IV (Elagab.) 241. AG. 2.75 g. 19.00 mm. Choice, lightly toned with warm hues. EF. Ex Artemide XXIII, 2008, 205.
