Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD) . AR Denarius, Rome mint. C. Sulpicius Platorinus, moneyer, struck 13 BC. Obv. CAESAR AVGVSTVS. Bare head right. Rev. C • SVLPICI-VS • PLATORIN. Augustus and Agrippa, bare-headed and togate, seated side by side, facing slightly left, on a bisellium, placed on a platform which is ornamented with three rostra; on left, staff or spear. RIC I (2nd ed.) 406. AR. 3.38 g. 19.00 mm. RR. Very rare, lightly toned. About VF/VF.
