Greek Italy. Northern Apulia, Teate. AE Quadrunx, c. 225-200 BC. Obv. Head of Athena in Corinthian helmet right. Rev. TIATI. Owl standing 3/4 right on bar; to right, K; in exergue, four pellets. HN Italy -; cf. 702 for other denominations; HGC 1 655; SNG Cop. -. AE. 12.78 g. 24.5 mm. RRR. Choice example of this extremely rare issue. Unlisted in the standard references, cited only in recently published HGC. Few examples offered in public sales. Untouched green patina. Good VF.
