BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Time of Alexander the Molossian, 333-331 BC. Obol (Bronze, 17.90 mm, 6.14 g). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress; ΔI above. Rev. Eagle with spread wings standing to right, tearing serpent in talons; KPO under wing. HN Italy 2217. SNG ANS 432. SNG Morcom 403. HGC 1, 1511. Attractive green patina. Roughness, otherwise, nearly Very Fine.
