Sicily. Syracuse, Hieron II. Circa 263-218 BC. Tetras (Bronze, 23.30 mm, 9.23 g). Diademed head of Poseidon left wearing tainia. Rev. EP - ΩΝΟΣ Ornamented trident head flanked by two dolphins; IEP ONOS, to lower left, N. BMC 218, 602; SNG Cop 854; SNG München 1406; Calciati p. 371 n. 194. HGC 2, 1550. Untouched green-brownish patina. A well-struck piece. Extremely Fine.
