Greece, King George I, 1863-1913. Copper-Nickel Pattern 5 Lepta, 1912, without privy and mint marks and with “ESSAI”, Paris mint, plain edge, by Charles Pillet. 5 ΛΕΠΤΑ, in two lines, owl perched on vase at left of hole, ESSAI in tiny letters at 1 o’clock and initials “CH.Pillet” in exergue. / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ 1912, in four lines, crown on right side of hole (KM-E24; Divo P93; IV. 29b).

Gorgeous specimen with marvellous toning and eye-appeal.

Graded PF65 NGC.
