About extremely fine.
James Brooke, a British adventurer travelling Asia on a private vessel, received Sarawak in 1841 from the Sultan of Brunei in reward for his aid in suppressing an uprising. The Brookes ruled Sarawak as the "White Rajahs" until 1946.
