Byzantine lead seal of Theophanes officer.(11th cent.)
Obverse: Facial bust of archangel Michael in imperial garments, nimbate, winged, holding a cruciger stick in his right, sigla in the fields, Ο Μ-Χ (archangel Michael), dotted border.
Reverse: Inscription in 5 lines between decorative patterns, to be deciphered, referring the name of the owner of the seal, Theophanes.
Condition : Very fine.
