PB Byzantine seal of Peter Serblias, magistros, vestes, judge of the Velum and of the Opsikion (11th century).
Obv: Inscription of five lines followed by decoration: Κ(ύρι)ε β(οή)θ(ει) τῷ σῷ δ[ού]λῳ Πέτρ[ῳ] μαγίστρ[ῳ], βέστῃ. Border of dots.
Rev: Inscription of five lines preceded and followed by decoration, the final four letters between pellets: κριτῇ τοῦ βήλου [(καὶ)] τοῦ Ὀψικίου τῷ Σερβλίᾳ. Border of dots.
Translation: Lord, help your servant Peter Serblias, magistros, vestes, judge of the Velum and of the Opsikion.
This seal and, DO Seals 3, no. 39.16a and b, come from the same boulloterion.
Same person as the judge of Peleponnesos and Hellas and of Seleukeia: cf. DO Seals 2, no. 8.26 (BZS.1955.1.3298 and BZS.1958.106.4718).
