Brutus, 43-42 BC. AR, Denarius. 3.85 g. 18.27 mm. Military mint traveling with Brutus and Cassius in western Asia Minor or northern Greece, late summer-autumn 42.
Obv: L·PLAET·CEST. Laureate female bust (possibly Artemis), right, draped and wearing veil and polos.
Rev: BRVT·IMP. Axe and culullus.
