PB Byzantine seal of Aposachles Senachereim, nobelissimos (AD 11th century, second half)
Obv: St Theodore standing at left, with his hands upraised towards the medallion in which Christ is shown above in the center. St Demetrios is at right, making the same gesture of supplication. Both saints are in civilian garb. Inscription on either side of the image of Christ: Ἰ(ησοῦ)ς Χ(ριστό)ς. Inscription in a column at left: ῾Ο ἅγιος Θεόδωρος. Inscription in column at right: [῾Ο ἅγιος Δη]μ[ήτριος]. Border of dots.
Rev: Inscription of six lines beginning with a cross: Κ(ύρι)ε β(ο)ήθ(ει) ᾿Αποσάχλῃ νωβελλισίμῳ τῷ Σιναχηρεῖμ. Border of dots.
Translation: Jesus Christ. St Theodore. St Demetrios. Lord, aid Aposachles Senachereim, nobelissimos.

This very rare 11th century seal belongs to Aposachles Senachereim, one of the sons of Ioannes Senacherim (Senek'erim Yovhannés) Artzrouni / Arcrouni, the last ruler of the Vaspourakan Armenian Kingdom and one of the rulers of the Theme of Sebasteia.
