Description

Kingdom of Macedon, Philip III Arrhidaios. AR Tetradrachm, 16.86 g 27.84 mm. In the name and types of Alexander III. Tarsos, circa 323-317 BC. Struck under Philotas or Philoxenos.
Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress
Rev: Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, holding sceptre; BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY around, Nike flying right in left field carrying wreath, monogram under throne.
