With a vertical pin on the rear side, and a star in a laurel wreath in the centre. Very rare. Provenance: Janice Lane Young, Richmond, Virginia; nephew of Rufus W. Lane, U.S. Consul of Mmyrna (Izmir) from 1898 to 1905.Since this Order was bestowed only on women, it is believed to have been presented either to Mr. Lane's mother-in-law Mrs. Psyachi or more likely later to the Consul's wife Marie Psyachi. diameter 7 cm.
