Constantine I the Great, 307/310-337 AD. AV Small Module Medallion (22mm, 3,32 g.). Treveri (Trier) mint. Struck circa AD 326. IMP CONSTANTINVS PF AVG radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. Blank, anephigraphic field with circular pearled border. The obverse stylistically very similar to Medallion of 1 1/2 Solidi, Treveri- Gnecchi I S.19 Nr.43, Cohen 409. RIC 802. Depeyrot p. 151. Alföldi 326. Arras 448. Perret 142. Biaggi 1987 also with the same obverse legend, instead of ( DN CONSTANTI NVS MAX AVG) the second known type with letter B on the reverse again from Treveri mint. The present example is without letter or a mintmark, even without a pellet. Extremely Rare.
