Ionia. Erythrai, circa 360-342 BC. AR Drachm (15.4 mm, 3.63 g). Rhodian standard. Diopeithes, magistrate. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. EPY, club and bow in bow-case; owl in left field, magistrate’s name ΔIOПEIΘΗΣ. Kinns, Period III, Group IB, 80; SNG von Aulock 1951; SNG Copenhagen 586. Lightly toned. About extremely fine.
