ATHENS , Tet, 449-413 BC, Athena head r/owl stg r, S2526; in NGC slab as CH AU, Strike 4/5, surface 5/5. I grade it Choice EF, obv centered just a touch low but head complete, rev well centered. Perfect metal and quite crisply struck, with the obv hair waves as sharp as can be. That's what I look for on these. Most of the numerous examples from recent hoard don't have this. (An EF brought $9200, Triton 1/12; GEF $17,000, NAC 10/08.)
