Islands off Caria, Rhodes. Silver Tetradrachm (13.45 g), ca. 229-205 BC. Ameinias, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly right. Reverse: POΔIΩN, rose, bud to right; in left field, prow right; across field, magistrate's name AMEINI-AΣ. Ashton 212; SNG Keckman 542. Well struck in high relief. Excellent metal with traces of luster present, all lightly toned. Superb Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $3,500 - UP
