LACONIA. Gythium. Caracalla 198-217 AD. Assarion (23mm, 4.52g), circa 202-205.
Obv: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind.
Rev: Dionysos standing facing, his body turned slightly to the left and his head to right, crowning himself with wreath held in his right hand, resting his left elbow on tree trunk entwined by a grape vine, and holding a bunch of grapes in his left hand.
