Description
Louis XV gold Louis d'Or 1719/8-A MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM438.1, Gad-336. Choice for the type with bold qualities throughout. Graphite haymarking over the King's effigy and mild adjustments over the reverse center serve as character building attributes, while closer inspection reveals a clear 9/8 in the date, as well as surfaces that are free of any mentionable marks. Hard to imagine a finer example of this overdate type.
