Description
Vittorio Emanuele II 5 Lire 1865 T-BN MS65 NGC, Turin mint, KM8.1. A superb and original gem conveying satiny luster over fields gently decorated in a soft silver patina. Touches of cerulean iridescence embrace the devices, complemented by faint peripheral hints of gold, the central features expressing strong detail absent any areas of weakness. A difficult type at this level, and exceeded by only a single NGC-certified example.
