Republic 8 Reales 1866 Ho-MP MS61 NGC, Hermosillo mint, KM377.9, DP-Ho08 (Extremely Rare). Lightly toned and uncirculated with fully lustrous surfaces complemented by a razor-sharp strike. A very rare date/mint combination, noted in Resplandores as "...extremely rare and ... a candidate for the rarest 8 Reales of Hermosillo " and further elusive in this superb quality. Currently the second finest example certified at NGC, and unquestionably superior to the FoxLair Collection example (AU55 NGC) that hammered for $4,800 in our CICF 2016 signature sale (Lot 30405).
