Description

Joseph II gold Souverain d'Or 1786-(b) AU58 NGC, Brussels mint, KM33, Fr-142 (Very Rare; under Belgium). Minted under the emperor of Austria at Brussels, Milan, Vienna, and Hall, this type seems to most commonly appear bearing the Vienna mintmark ("A"), and is especially elusive as a Brussels issue; in fact, Friedberg lists no value under the date, only noting it as "Very Rare". The sole example of the date certified by NGC and overall quite pleasing, with only bare touches of rub at the high points.
