Description

Prussia. Wilhelm II gold 20 Mark 1915-A MS65 NGC, Berlin mint, KM537, J-253. The rare, final date of issue for this short-lived type, produced for only three years from 1913 to 1915. The commencement of the Great War (WW1) interrupted production, and, as a result, very few conditionally strong survivors remain today. The present offering is among the very finest of such examples, certified near the peak of preservation yet encountered by the grading services, with only a single "66" ranking as the finest seen by NGC. Flashy brilliance, clean surfaces, and sharp detail immediately confirm the impressive designation in hand, rendering this offering a clear target for the specialized collector of the German 20 Mark series.
