Description

Baden. Karl Friedrich 1/2 Taler 1767-SW MS65+ NGC, Durlach mint, KM116, Schön-62, Wielandt-722b. Mintage: 18,000. Extraordinarily attractive and captivatingly patinated with a fine champagne backlight that pulses outwards from the centers, catching glints of salt-white color at the rims. Far from usual for the type, the surfaces show virtually no defects whatsoever, particularly on the reverse, where the intricates arms design shelters fields flush with fine die polish. Ex. Virgil Brand Collection, Part 4 (Leu Numismatik Auction 69, June 1997, Lot 3730) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
