LYDIAN KINGDOM. Croesus (ca. 561-546 BC). AV sixth-stater or hecte (8mm, 1.34 gm). NGC MS S 5/5 - 4/5. Sardes, "light" standard, ca. 550-546 BC. Confronted foreparts of lion right and bull left, both with outstretched foreleg / Two incuse square punches of unequal size, side by side, with irregular interior surfaces. Walburg group IV, 3. Berk 9.8. Centered strike on a sunny satin flan.
