SCYTHIA. Geto-Dacians. Coson (after 54 BC). AV stater (20mm, 8.19 gm, 11h). NGC MS 3/5 - 4/5. Ca. 44-42 BC. Roman consul (L. Junius Brutus) walking left, accompanied by two lictors fore and aft; BR monogram before, KOΣΩN in exergue / Eagle with spread wings standing left on scepter, clutching laurel wreath in right talon. HGC 3.2, 2049. RPC I 1701A. Subdued luster with scattered areas of toning. A slight die shift on the obverse with a fully sharp eagle on the reverse.
