A coveted denomination amongst collectors of early Spanish gold, not obtainable certified at a higher grade for this particular variety. Of the three examples certified, all are tied at this near-choice grade; our sale of this particular contender will mark our firm's handling of each of these specimens. This particular representative boasts a straw-gold tone infused with subtle deepening in the crevices, serving to re-articulate the almost fully-legible peripheries. Slight doubling, as is typical for the issue, is visible in the central facing portraits, but the reverse arms motif proves quite single-minded and crisp.
