Description

Charles I 30 Shillings ND (1637-1642) MS63 NGC, S-5557, Bull-21, Murray-6. 14.95gm. Third Coinage. Falconer's Anonymous Issue. Mint Mark: thistle. Two leaved thistles above crown on reverse. The finest example of the issue we will have ever ushered across the auction block, but furthermore, this is the sole finest certified example through the two major Third Party Grading companies. Needless to say, the degree of detail displayed on this piece is seldom-seen, and the fact that there was enough of a champagne-tinged lustrous sheen atop the pearl-gray patina to warrant a Choice Mint evaluation by NGC is extremely impressive.
