Republic nickel Pattern 20 Cents Over 10 Cents 1963 MS62 NGC, Hern-A20. Original estimated mintage of 50 examples. An intriguing pattern, and a predecessor for the coinage which began in the 1960s. Only a few of this academically fascinating type were produced. The "10" is scratched out on the die, with "20" added around the center.
