Danzig. Johann Casimir gold Ducat 1658-DL UNC Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM41.2, Kop-7659. A sublime example from this short-lived series, featuring the finely-decorated bust of Johann Casimir and the crowned, supported arms of Danzig. The planchet is a bit wavy and the obverse fields contain hairlines but the overall visual appeal is quite strong. A healthy amount of luminosity remains and occasional amber toning provides color and life to the centuries old surfaces. A seldom-encountered gold treat for the Danzig specialist.
