Pedro I copper Pattern 80 Reis 1827-R MS61 Brown NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM-Pn28, Bentes-E18.01. An undercurrent of color enlivens the smooth, chocolaty surfaces on this rare Pattern type. There is a symmetry and boldness to the ornate design that renders all elements prominent to the naked eye. We handled the only other certified example at NGC in May of this year, when it hammered for $6,000, and we anticipate an equal amount of enthusiasm for this beautiful specimen.
