Description

George II Crown 1741 AU58 NGC, KM575.2, S-3687, ESC-123. Roses in reverse angles. Minor wear to George's hair preventing this piece from entering the Mint State grade level, but in all other respects a boldly detailed selection with handsome limestone-gray surfaces emphasised through seafoam green iridescence, particularly on the reverse. The last AU58 example of this date we handled realised a hammer price of $2,800 in our January 2010 New York sale, and we anticipate similar interest in this comparable piece 9 years on.
