SELEUCID KINGDOM OF SYRIA. DEMETRIOS III PHILOPATOR SOTER, king 95-88 BC. Tetradrachm, Damascus, dated 91-90. AR 15.33 g. Diademed bust r. with short beard. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΔHMHTPIOY / ΘEOY - ΦIΛOΠATOPOΣ / EYΣEBOYΣ Facing cult image of goddess Atargatis, wearing long veil, both hands outstretched, holding flower in her l. hand, the head flanked by two corn ears; in outer l. field, N/A, low in r. field, monogram, below ground line, date BKΣ (year 222 of the Seleucid era); whole in a laurel wreath.
