Trajan. Sestertius; Trajan; 98-117 AD, Rome, 112/113-114 AD, Sestertius, 24.57g. Woytek-480h (new combination). Obv: Dated COS VI, not yet "Optimus"; Bust laureate, draped, cuirassed r., seen from front. Rx: [F]EL[ICIT]AS AVGVST S - C Felicitas standing l. holding short winged caduceus and cornucopia. Ex Curtis L. Clay Collection. Apparently a new bust type for this sestertius, Woytek's Type h, which was generally little used on Trajan's coins of this issue of 112-114 AD. With that bust type, Woytek-395h, pl. 83, recorded only a single ALIM ITAL denarius of this issue, and no bronze coins or aurei at all. Some planchet defects in front of Emperor's face, otherwise. aVF
