On right, possibly Luna in a biga, but largely destroyed by corrosion. Ex Curtis L. Clay Collection. Apparently only the second known specimen of this medallion, the other being in the Library of Saint Mark, in Venice. Unfortunately Gnecchi's photograph of the Venice specimen does not clarify what the engraver intended to show in the right half of the reverse type.This is the second recorded specimen of this type.
