Folio [45.5 by 32 cm], modern tan quarter morocco with brown cloth sides; spine with six raised bands, lettered in black; brown endpapers; original printed brown card covers bound in. (4), ii, (2), 42, (4) pages; hand-colored plate of the “Synopsis of the Numismatic Atlas”; plate of tables on the occurrence of symbols on “Coins of the Syrian Kings”; hand-colored plate of “Sizes and Values of Grecian Coins.” Leaves bound on hinges; original front card cover repaired; rear card cover missing. Only light wear to spine; contents very good. A very scarce companion volume to the Atlas numismatique, with the text in English. There were only 100 subscribers to Green’s Atlas, indicating a relatively small print run. In addition to the French edition with text published the same year (see preceding lot), a little-known wall chart of the Atlas, measuring 165 by 102 cm, was issued on a roller or mounted on canvas.
